I am fighting Mike, Jake Paul responds to rumors about Mike Perry replacing Mike Tyson

Jake Paul has refuted the claims about him facing Mike Perry in a fight, insisting he plans to challenge Mike Tyson. This past month, Tyson had to pull out of his scheduled fight with Paul. Subsequently, the former champion had to do this due to a severe case of an ulcer flare, which would prevent him from training for a couple of weeks.

Since then, Paul has been searching for new opponents to step into the ring, even suggesting his brother as a possible contender. Well, the story of Paul searching for a challenger quickly spread across the internet. This resulted in rumors that he might challenge Perry on July 20th. However, Paul has since refuted these claims, and in his latest tweet on X, he reaffirmed his plan to face Tyson in a fight.

However, since Paul is still concentrating exclusively on Tyson, their match is now scheduled for November. This has allowed the former heavyweight champion to recuperate and resume his training regimen. Furthermore, the fight between Paul and Tyson is going to be broadcast in real time on Netflix.

This makes the fight the first bout to be broadcast on the world’s largest streaming platform. Furthermore, it will be recognized as a legitimate professional match, affecting their official records. The fight will consist of eight rounds, each two minutes in duration.

Mike Perry’s beef with Jake Paul

Mike Perry is known for competing in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) matches. He previously fought in the UFC and had a close bond with Paul when his celebrity boxing career started. Subsequently, their friendship deteriorated, and the details of their falling out were captured in a collection of videos.

Lezra Gomez serves as both the COO and social media manager for Breakout Boxing. As such, Gomez documented several videos of Perry and Paul, which are now on the social video platform X. In addition, Perry also spoke about the clips showing him and Jake Paul facing off for the first time back in 2021.

People may not know, but the Jake Paul vs Mike Perry lore goes way back to around April 2021 when clips surfaced of Mike Perry claiming “You (Jake) Kicked My Ass”

Since then the Jake & Mike call outs & back & fourths have only became more frequent…

In the clip, Perry asks Paul, “you kicked my a*s?” Paul argued that he had defeated Perry in their previous sparse session. This eventually resulted in them turning bitter rivals after being training partners.
